We are devastated after watching the explosive new trailer for the second season of the series «Wednesday». The teaser shows that the second season will focus on the obvious, inevitable death of one of the characters: Enid Sinclair. Meanwhile, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) must hurry to save her best friend and neighbor «or die trying». But is it true — does Enid really die in the series?

Below, Hollywood Life provides updates on everything we already know about the second season of «Wednesday».

All episodes of «Wednesday» can be watched on Netflix.

The second season of «Wednesday» is being released in two parts this year! The first part will be released on August 6, 2025, and the second part on September 3, 2025. Each part consists of four episodes.

Apparently, Enid may die in the second season of «Wednesday», according to the psychic vision that Wednesday has. As seen in the trailer, Wednesday sees Enid’s grave, which reads: «In memory of Enid Sinclair», then the deceased Enid appears to grab Wednesday by the throat and scream: «I died because of you!»

«Enid dies, and it’s all my fault», - Wednesday says in a scene from the trailer, before her voice off-screen says, «Secrets are the foundation of the Addams family. The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid — or die trying».

Actress Emma Meyers plays Enid in «Wednesday», and thanks to the Netflix series, she quickly became known for playing a bright, fun, and empathetic teenage werewolf.

It is unclear whether actress Emma is leaving «Wednesday» after the second season. Since the second season has not yet aired, fans will have to wait and see what happens to her character.

But fans have no reason to think that Emma is looking to leave the show. The creative team of «Wednesday», including director and producer Tim Burton, praised Emma in an interview for Variety in April 2025. They noted that Emma is ready to try something new on set and is easy to work with.

«She just constantly surprises you», - Tim said about Emma. «I didn’t know until this season that she dances so well. She’s not too demonstrative as a personality, so she constantly surprised me, with her level of humor and ability to be chromatic and humorous. I like the mix of people who can play comedy and be emotional at the same time — and she has all these elements».

As for Emma herself, she hinted that her character, Enid, «has changed over the summer» and «grown and become more confident»
