Two brothers, one choice — and apparently, it’s a difficult choice for Belly Conklin in the series «The Summer I Turned Pretty». Played by actress Lola Tung, the Prime Video series is in its third and final season, and Belly must choose between her first love, Conrad Fisher (Christopher Braine), and her next love, Jeremy Fisher (Gavin Casalengo). Jenny has hinted to fans in the past about how different the show is from the books.
«I really had to weigh what the fans were expecting with where the show creatively was going and find that balance», - Jenny told Variety magazine in June 2022. «My priority has always been that I want the book fans to feel really satisfied with the story we’re telling, but also to know that it’s an adaptation in a new medium, so it won’t be exactly the same».
Jenny added that fans «never know what could happen with the show» because she «considers a lot of different possibilities»
