«The Yellow Jackets» is currently in its third season, which premiered in early 2025, and due to its success, fans are eagerly awaiting a fourth season. But some are also wondering how many more seasons they can expect. With the increasing trend of TV show cancellations, viewers hope that «The Yellow Jackets» will have a long future. So how many seasons will the show have?

Below, find out everything we know about the future of «The Yellow Jackets».

«The Yellow Jackets» tells the story of a group of teenage girls whose plane crashes in the wilderness, forcing them to survive in the middle of nowhere. The series switches between the teenagers and their future versions.

The show features a strong ensemble cast led by Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Liv Hewson, and Courtney Eaton as the group of teenagers. The adult versions of their characters are played by Melanie Lynskey, Toni Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Lauren Ambrose, and Simon Kassell.

The third season of «The Yellow Jackets» is currently available to watch on Paramount+ with Showtime. The first and second seasons are available on Paramount+, and the first season is also on Netflix.

At the time of publication, Showtime has not yet renewed «The Yellow Jackets» for a fourth season. However, considering the success the series has had so far, it is likely that fans can expect a fourth season in the future.

Co-creator Ashley Lyle previously stated that «The Yellow Jackets» was planned for five seasons. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly in March 2023, Ashley noted: «The original plan was for five seasons, and we feel like we’re still on track».

While she pointed out that «there's always room for changes», - Ashley emphasized that «we don’t see it as more than five seasons. I think there are shows that can go on forever, but when you’re telling such a deeply serialized story and it’s about these characters' lives, you want to reach a satisfying conclusion and not just drag it on forever. It’s not the type of show where you can go anywhere. So far, we’re really on the right track. The second season is mostly what we always planned, but along the way you make a lot of discoveries, so it’s always a bit surprising»
