«Paramount is an important partner for us, and as you can imagine, this is not the outcome we want», - the company added. «We are still in active discussions with Paramount and hope to reach an agreement to keep their content on YouTube TV». The deadline for a new transmission agreement is 11 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, February 13.

On January 13, the streaming service raised the price of its base plan by $ 10, bringing it to $ 82.99.

YouTube TV explained the price increase, citing rising costs, in a message on their X account at the time.

«A message to our members: we have always strived to offer you the content you love, with features to enjoy the best of live TV. To keep up with rising content costs, we are updating our monthly price to $ 82.99/month», - the company wrote a month before the new price took effect. «We do not take these decisions lightly, and we understand that this affects our members. We are committed to providing you with features that change the way we watch live TV, such as unlimited DVR storage and multi-view, and to support the wide range of YouTube TV content and extensive library of movies and shows on demand».

In a statement, a Paramount representative confirmed that «Paramount networks on YouTube TV, as well as the removal of Paramount+ and BET+ from notable YouTube channels», - will occur on February 13.

YouTube TV will offer users an $ 8 credit if Paramount content remains unavailable for an extended period.
