Zac Bryan set an attendance record at Gillette Stadium, performing in a shirt that read «Free Palestine» for the second consecutive time. His concert took place on October 3, and more than 73,000 fans attended.
According to a post from the stadium on Instagram, 73,538 fans were present at Bryan’s second show. However, commenters noted that the photos did not include close-ups of Bryan’s shirt or his face.
Bryan’s concerts followed the exclusion of rapper Macklemore from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour last month due to his pro-Palestinian statements. The decision to exclude him was made ahead of Sheeran’s scheduled performances at Gillette Stadium in late September. Macklemore claimed that stadium owner Robert Kraft gathered other stadium owners and issued him an ultimatum: if he remained on the tour, he would be banned from performing at their venues.
In response, Kraft stated that Gillette Stadium has always aimed to create a welcoming atmosphere and does not provide a platform for hate. He noted that Macklemore’s recent actions and statements were offensive to the Jewish community.
Ed Sheeran also commented on the situation, stating that he found himself at the center of an important debate about freedom of speech. He emphasized that his music has always been a safe space for everyone. Macklemore, for his part, announced his own Free Palestine tour with performances in Dublin, Paris, and London.
