Zac Efron gives hope to fans of the movie «High School Musical» that something new could start between him and his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. During a new interview, the 36-year-old actor reacted to the news that Vanessa, 35, and their former co-star Ashley Tisdale are pregnant at the same time.
«They will be the best moms in the world», - Zac told Access Hollywood on Thursday, June 13, at the premiere of his Netflix movie «A Family Thing». He added, «These girls, what are you?»
Zac then noted, «We have fun family gatherings ahead of us».
Currently, Vanessa is expecting her first child with husband Cole Tucker, whom she married in December 2023. As for Ashley, the 38-year-old star of the series «The Suite Life of Zack & Cody» is a mother to daughter Jupiter, whom she is raising with husband Christopher French. Ashley is currently pregnant with her second child.
The Disney Channel actors starred together in the popular «High School Musical» film series. Zac played basketball star Troy Bolton, and Vanessa played the scholarly Gabriella Montez, both discovering their passion for theater. While the romance of their characters unfolded on screen, the actors dated from 2005 to 2010. Ashley, on the other hand, played the musical queen Sharpay Evans.
After Vanessa and Zac ended their relationship in 2010, they did not remain close. The actress from «Tick, Tick… Boom!» found a new boyfriend in Austin Butler, whom she dated from 2011 to 2020.
