Zac Efron is recovering after reportedly being pulled out of a pool and subsequently hospitalized. The 36-year-old actor reached out to his fans on his Instagram Stories on Sunday, August 4, to share a photo of himself working out, proving to fans that he is recovering.
«Happy and healthy», - Zac wrote on the picture with weights raised. «Thank you for the well wishes».
Over the weekend, TMZ reported that the «High School Musical» star was taken to a hospital in Spain after a «minor incident while swimming» at a villa in Ibiza, according to Zac’s representative. Sources claim that Zac was found in the pool by two workers, who pulled him out of the water.
It is not clear what caused the brief scare, but he was released from the hospital after a few hours.
This is not the first time the «Baywatch» star has been hospitalized. In 2013, Zac broke his jaw after falling and hitting his face at home. He had to wire his mouth shut as a result.
After the incident, trolls on social media speculated that Zac had undergone plastic surgery, which he dismissed as «funny» during an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2022.
