The story of Bella Conklin’s development will soon come to an end. Now that the third season of the series «The Summer I Became Beautiful» has been released, fans of the original books are curious if the series will follow the same ending. The love triangle between Bella (Lola Tang), Jeremy Fisher (Gavin Casalegno), and Conrad Fisher (Christopher Braine) has only become more complicated. So, will Bella and Jeremy get married, or will they break up after he was unfaithful — not once, but twice — in the series?

In the final book of the series «We Will Always Have Summer», Bella and Jeremy did not get married. A few days before the wedding, Conrad confesses to Bella that he still loves her and asks her not to marry Jeremy. When the latter asks Bella about her feelings, she and Jeremy call off the wedding.
If the series on Prime Video follows the original story, Bella will not marry Jeremy.
In the original book series «The Summer I Became Beautiful», Bella ends up with Conrad. So fans may assume the same will happen in the series. However, the author and creator of the series, Jenny Han, told Variety in 2022 that her vision for the series does not completely align with the books.
«I really had to weigh the expectations of the fans with where the show creatively is going and find that balance», - Jenny told the publication. «My priority has always been for fans of the books to feel really satisfied with the story we’re telling, but also to know that this is an adaptation in a new medium, so it won’t be exactly the same».
Jenny also hinted: «You never know what can happen with the show. I was open going into it. I considered a lot of different possibilities»
