The broadcast of the Summer Olympic Games from Paris to Los Angeles — the host city of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games — will reportedly feature performances by Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sunday, August 11.

According to Variety, all three artists will be seen from Los Angeles in a mix of pre-recorded and live performances to close the Olympics in a star-studded event. Ben Winston, who previously produced the Grammy Awards ceremony and the CBS special show «Adele: One Night Only» in 2021, is coordinating the event with French producers, the publication reports.

All three artists have close ties to the California city. Eilish, one of the most popular pop sensations of the last decade, is a local resident whose 2021 concert film was titled «Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles». Snoop Dogg, who was a regular guest in Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games, is from Long Beach and closely associated with West Coast rap. Red Hot Chili Peppers emerged from the punk scene in Los Angeles in the 1980s, and their 1999 hit «Californication» became an anthem for the city.

The specific locations of their performances have not been disclosed, as tensions have increased around musical events following news that Taylor Swift allegedly received threats from suspects planning an attack at her upcoming three-day concert in Vienna as part of the «Era» tour.

Unlike the opening ceremony, which took place along the Seine River, the closing ceremony will return to the Stade de France stadium, which has hosted many Olympic events, including athletics.

In addition to the Los Angeles lineup, H.E.R. will perform at the closing of the Olympics. The 27-year-old Grammy winner will perform the U.S. national anthem.

It was also reported that Tom Cruise will perform a stunt at the closing ceremony. The 62-year-old actor is set to skydive before a pre-recorded segment in which he will land near the iconic Hollywood sign. At the end of Sunday’s closing ceremony, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will receive the Olympic flame. The Summer Games in Los Angeles are scheduled for July 14−30, 2028.

The closing ceremony follows the star-studded opening ceremony in Paris, where Lady Gaga and Celine Dion performed on July 26. Gaga, 38, sang «Mon Truc en Plume», - while Dion, 56, performed «Hymne à l’amour» from the Eiffel Tower in her first performance since revealing her stiff person syndrome diagnosis in December 2022
