Should I doubt every step I take? Perhaps this question was swirling in Troy Bolton’s head as he made his way through the golf course, jumping, spinning, and hitting the ground.
But now, with Zac Efron’s stunning revelation about the pure improvisation of his dance to the song «Bet on It», - you can be sure that the actor will become an even bigger legend for fans who grew up adoring the «High School Musical» trilogy.
On Monday, HSM graduate, 36, and Joey King from «The Kissing Booth», - 24, were enjoying time in a Netflix video promoting their upcoming movie «The In Between», - answering questions from a «curious cookie jar». They mentioned King’s past obsession with his Disney co-star when he was a Disney star. They not only sang a snippet of Efron’s famous song «Bet on It», - but also learned what people didn’t know they needed.
«You know, when we shot that, we just didn’t have any ideas for what to do that day», - he recalled. «The director just said, 'Dude, we have no concept for this song, what do you want to do?' I said, 'I don’t know, we’re on a golf course'… we shot, I think, the whole song in three hours».
Fans are either shocked or joyous to receive information that finally explains the iconic dances and running through the golf course at Lava Springs Country Club.
«THE BET ON IT CHOREOGRAPHY WAS ALL IMPROV? WHERE’S HIS TONY», - one Twitter user expressed.
One Reddit user commented: «You can tell 😅😅😅».
With the release of the second movie almost 17 years ago (oh, we’re getting old), regardless of how you may feel about watching the choreography now, the scene remains frozen as one that brought Disney kids a lot of joy.
«High School Musical» was directed by Kenny Ortega. The 74-year-old director helmed all three «High School Musical» movies and films like «The Cheetah Girls 2» and «Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds» — all iconic Disney characters around the same time
