Zendaya explains why she almost didn’t wear the wild combat armor costume to the premiere of Dune: Part Two

Zendaya sheds light on one of the greatest fashion moments on the red carpet in her career. Almost two months after appearing on the red carpet for the premiere of «Dune: Part Two» in London in a transparent silver battle armor, the actress explained how this look was created.
«I thought, 'Can I wear this?'» Zendaya recalled in an interview for Vogue on April 9 as part of the «Life in Looks» series. «And I sent it [to my stylist] Law [Roach] and said, 'What if we wear this to the premiere?'»
She continued: «He said, 'Are you serious? Don’t play with me! Don’t start something and then make me do it, and then at the last moment get scared and refuse to wear it.'»
One of the men who originally created the Mugler ensemble doubted that Zendaya would be able to fit into the outfit.
«He said, 'We can try, but there’s a chance that some parts won’t fit. Our proportions may be very different,'» Zendaya recalled. «We tried it on and it fit like a glove. It just seemed like it was meant to be».
As soon as the cameras captured Zendaya arriving on the red square of Leicester Square in London in this outfit, the look went viral online, with critics sharing rave reviews.
While the positive reviews were pleasant, the actress said that the outfit was not always the most glamorous.
«Immediately, I think, after wearing it for 10 minutes or even less, I started feeling dizzy», - Zendaya recalled. «The metal conducts and quickly retains heat, and it’s like catching it. I’m wearing a full jumpsuit, so there’s already a barrier, and you already have a layer of material on your skin. As the days approached, I thought, 'This was a bad idea. Why did I do this?'»
Now Zendaya understands that the fashion risk has completely paid off.
«I wore it», - she said. «I went out and did it».
On the press tour for «Dune: Part Two», - Zendaya stunned fashion lovers with her looks. At the premiere of the sci-fi film in New York, the actress wore a floor-length white dress with bold front cutouts.
And at the premiere in Paris, Zendaya looked stunning in a combination of a sleeveless top and a long, flowing skirt
