Zendaya and Tom Holland had to find a balance between their massive stardom and their relationship. Since confirming their relationship in 2021, they have occasionally opened up about their life together. In a new interview for Vogue, the 27-year-old actress of «Euphoria» described how the 27-year-old star of «Spider-Man» handled his «instant» fame after being cast as a superhero.

«I definitely saw his life change right in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully», - Zendaya told the publication in her interview published on Tuesday, April 9. She then explained how their fame differed at the beginning of their journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

«We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight», - she continued. «One day you’re a kid, and you’re in a pub with your friends, and the next day you’re Spider-Man».

Now, as Tom prepares to play Romeo Montague in the upcoming production of «Romeo and Juliet» on the West End, the actress from «The Greatest Showman» noted that she plans to attend «as many performances as possible» when it runs from May to August.

«[I] couldn’t be more proud», - she added about Tom’s upcoming performance. «I'm going to try to see as many performances as possible».

Tom and Zendaya are regularly pursued by paparazzi and fans when they are spotted in public places. While they are individually loved by fans, the couple is usually surrounded by cameras and crowds when seen together. One of the most memorable moments was when the two actors were seen on a date in Paris in 2022, holding hands and exploring the Louvre. The star of «Dune: Part Two» recalled this event in her recent interview for Vogue, noting that «everything was fine», - despite being warned that they would be photographed.

«You just get used to the fact that 'Oh, I’m also one of those pieces of art that you’re going to photograph. I just need to be completely calm and just live my life,'» Zendaya said, adding that the Louvre staff allowed her and Tom to stay after closing. «It was one of the coolest experiences. It was like Night at the Museum».

However, the Disney Channel alum noted that she realized she could be «grateful» as a public figure, feeling entitled to decline taking photos with fans when they approach her.

«I think growing up, I always felt like when someone asks for a photo, I have to say yes, always», - she added. «You have to say 'yes' because you need to be grateful for being here. And while I still feel that way, I also realized that I can say 'no,' and I can kindly say that I’m off duty, or I’m just trying to be myself today, and I don’t necessarily have to perform all the time»
