Tammy Slaton has come a long way on her journey to health! The 37-year-old star of the show «1000-Lb. Sisters» appeared in a new photo with her friend, Hailey Michelle, and Tammy was in a bikini for the photoshoot. Hailey even admired how «proud» she was of the reality star’s weight loss results.

Tammy has gone through a long and difficult journey to health. After undergoing a stomach reduction surgery in 2022, the reality star announced to fans in 2023 that she had lost over 400 pounds.
«One of the big changes I went through last year may seem small to most people. But for me, it was huge», - Tammy told PEOPLE magazine in an interview last year. «Just the ability to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and without oxygen. I don’t even sleep with it at night anymore. Then, it was the ability to sit in a regular car, front seat, and buckle the seatbelt without using an extender. So, what may seem trivial to some people, is huge for me».
At that time, Tammy had lost weight down to 285 pounds. Initially, she weighed over 700 pounds and faced numerous health problems and medical emergencies.
In mid-2023, Tammy faced a devastating tragedy in her personal life: the loss of her late husband, Caleb Willems. She received a message from a friend informing her that Caleb had no pulse and had passed away.
«I am shattered having to share the news of my husband’s death», - Tammy told PEOPLE magazine in July 2023. «He was my best friend, and I loved him very much. When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel, and now he truly watches over me. Our families are grateful for all the sympathy and ask to respect our privacy at this time»
